About Us

The Indian Game Theory Society (IGTS) was founded by Mr. Manoj Gadia on 30th December 2015, with its first chapter established at IIT Kharagpur. Since its inception, IGTS has grown into a nationwide academic community, with active chapters across leading universities and colleges in India, including IIT Delhi, NSUT, DTU, Hansraj College, Manipal University Jaipur, and St. Stephen’s College.

IGTS was founded with the objective of promoting a deeper understanding of Game Theory and Strategic Thinking, and encouraging students to explore how strategic decision-making shapes outcomes in economics, business, politics, and everyday life.

Our Mission

We are a community of passionate individuals with a shared interest in game theory, economics, mathematics, and strategic decision-making.

Through case-based discussions, blogs, workshops, events, and interactive gaming sessions, we aim to:

  • Make game theory accessible and engaging for students from all academic backgrounds

  • Bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications

  • Encourage critical thinking, rational decision-making, and strategic analysis

  • Create a platform for learning, discussion, and collaboration among curious minds

At IGTS, we believe that anyone can learn and excel in game theory, regardless of prior experience, as long as they bring curiosity and a willingness to think strategically.
